The owner of the business notified police that they observed someone had cutting a chain link fence that secured the property.

While responding to the call, officers were informed that the property owner saw several males on their property through a video surveillance system, police said.

On arrival, officers established a perimeter surrounding the business, police said.

The officers arrested Lovette and Massey after they initially tried to run away, police said.

Shortly thereafter, officers located Turcios in a nearby pick-up truck that contained stolen property, police said.

“The investigation revealed the woman was acting as an accomplice,” police said.

“Further investigation determined the involved suspects burglarized a van parked in the immediate area and stole a considerable amount of construction tools which were recovered at the scene.”

A follow-up investigation led detectives to a

SMART train maintenance yard on Roblar Road that was also burglarized the same night, and a construction site in the 300 block of Bel Marin Keys Boulevard that was broken into, police said.

Police said Massey and Lovette were responsible for the additional burglaries, and both subsequently charged in connection with the crimes, police said.
