SAN RAFAEL, CA — The Marin County Fair will offer an expanded ADA Accessibility Lounge and has made rides more accessible for 2025.

The new lounge is located in the Redwood Foyer of the Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium and claims to be a quiet space open for all five days of the fair from July 2-6. It provides a place to relax, grab a snack or water, access noise-cancelling headphones, and receive guidance on other accessibility features from specially trained volunteers.

The fair has also collaborated with Butler Amusements, its carnival operator, to enhance ride accessibility. The fair will offer a sensory-friendly carnival experience on July 3, with select rides operating without amplified sounds or strobing lights. Guests with disabilities needing an escort or details can call 415-473-5062.

Additionally the fair will introduce a fully accessible, universally designed mobile restroom by Momentum Refresh. Available for all five days, it offers a safe, comfortable personal care space for individuals with mobility limitations and their caregivers. Equipped with a toilet, height-adjustable changing table and sink, and an overhead hoist, the unit provides ample space. Trained professionals will inform guests and maintain cleanliness.

The Marin County Fair established an ad hoc accessibility advisory committee in 2024.
