Marin Crews Battle 2-Alarm Structure Fire

Crews at around 7:25 a.m. Friday responded to the area of Palm Avenue in Larkspur on multiple reports of a house fire, the agency said.

LARKSPUR, CA — Crews battling a 2-alarm structure fire in Larkspur have gained the upper hand as of late Friday morning, the Central Marin Fire Department said.

The blaze involved a home under construction.

“This area of Larkspur can be a challenge for firefighters as it’s a very narrow street and homes are typically backed up on a steep hillside,” the CMFD said.

“E15 arrived on scene and reported a working fire in a home under construction and made an aggressive fire attack.”

A fire investigator was been requested to the scene, the CMFD said.

Mutual aid and station coverage was provided by Southern Marin Fire, Ross Valley Fire, Kentfield Fire, San Rafael Fire and Central Marin Police.
