Marin Traffic Stop Triggers Drug Bust: Cops
One person was arrested, and another cited in connection with the seizure of suspected narcotics including fentanyl, authorities said.
MILL VALLEY, CA — An early-morning Marin traffic stop last week led to a drug bust, authorities said.
One person was arrested, and another cited in connection with the seizure of suspected narcotics including fentanyl, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy on a routine patrol in the 600 block of Redwood Highway Frontage Road in Mill Valley at around 3:40 a.m. stopped the suspect vehicle – a silver Chrysler van – for code violations, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The deputy searched the vehicle after a record check of the driver revealed two out-of-county warrants, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The search revealed 9.8 grams of suspected fentanyl, 169 pills of suspected Xanax along with drug paraphernalia, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The driver was arrested on the outstanding warrants and on suspicion of multiple drug charges and booked into Marin County Jail, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The passenger was cited and released for possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
