Stalled Big Rig Snarls Central Marin Traffic (Updated)

Updated at 8:55 p.m.: The road has been cleared, police said in a 7:33 p.m. alert.

FAIRFAX, CA — A stalled big rig is causing major traffic delays in Central Marin, the Fairfax Police Department said in a 6:18 p.m. advisory.

Motorists are urged to avoid the intersection of Cascade and Laurel drives until further notice, the advisory said.

"Please avoid the area of Cascade Dr/Laurel Dr. A big rig has stalled causing major congestion, and we are doing our best to get it moved," the agency said in a statement. "Thank you to all residents for your patience and understanding."
