Diaz-Villatoro’s arrest culminated an investigation that started several months ago, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The agency’s Specialized Investigative Unit launched the investigation after determining Diaz-Villatoro was selling methamphetamine in Marin, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Diaz-Villatoro, who has prior arrests for narcotics related offenses, was arrested during a narcotics transaction Tuesday night, the agency said.
Villatoro as of Wednesday was being held on $150,000 bail, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The original bail was one cent, but detectives obtained an enhancement after arguing that Diaz-Villatoro posed a threat to the community, the agency said.
