Teens With Gun Rob Person On Bike Path: San Rafael Police

One of the trio fled but the other two, ages 16 and 17, were arrested and charged, according to police.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — Three juveniles with a gun robbed a person on a bike path Monday in San Rafael, according to police, who said two teens were arrested while the third robber fled and was not found.

Officers responded just after 7 p.m. to the path that parallels U.S. Route 101 and Lincoln Avenue near Paloma Avenue, police said.

They found two of the robbers in the area of Fourth and Hetherton streets and arrested them, according to police, who said they also found an illegal “ghost gun” without a serial number. Officers recognized one of the teens from a previous robbery arrest in February, police said.

The two teens arrested Monday were booked into Marin County Juvenile Hall, according to police. A 17-year-old was charged with felony armed robbery and conspiracy, police said, while a 16-year-old was charged with felony armed robbery, carrying a concealed gun, possessing a gun without a serial number, being a minor in possession of a gun and conspiracy.

The victim was not hurt and the stolen items were returned, according to police, who said they were working to find the third juvenile.
