Another Quake Strikes San Ramon Area
There have been a number of small earthquakes since early November in the area near the Contra Costa and Alameda county lines.
SAN RAMON, CA — An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.9 struck two miles east-southeast of San Ramon about 8:10 p.m. Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
It was followed by an aftershock of 2.8 magnitude at 8:21 p.m.
The first quake was measured at a depth of 5 miles. The aftershock was measured at 4.5 miles.
