Brazilian Steakhouse, Nightclub Opens In San Ramon

Gaucho, a national Brazilian steakhouse and nightclub chain, opened a San Ramon location last week.

SAN RAMON, CA — Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse & Lounge, a steakhouse and nightclub chain with locations in Cupertino, Napa, Walnut Creek, and around the country, opened a San Ramon location last week.

The restaurant opened its newest location on 2410 San Ramon Valley Boulevard, near the intersection of Crow Canyon Road and I-680 on Friday.

“Gaucho” gets its name from the “gaucho” cowboys who roamed the Brazilian pampas. “Each evening, these nomadic cowboys would sit by a handmade fire pit and spit-roast fresh meat over an open flame,” the Gaucho website recounts. “As the years rolled on, the original Gauchos’ unique method was refined and perfected – a brick rodizio replaced the open flames and the meats became more diverse. In time, the modern churrascaria was born.”

The unique menu offers “rodizio-style” dining, which allows guests to sample an unlimited selection of meats spit-roasted on a Brazilian churrasco grill. Guests also have all-you-can-eat access to a sidebar offering salads, artisan cheeses, and several Brazilian accompaniments.

The restaurant will also feature a nightclub and lounge that will regularly host parties and DJs. On Friday at 9:30 p.m., the restaurant will host a grand opening party. The restaurant adheres to Contra Costa County COVID-19 guidelines, which no longer require masks and institutes an “honor system” for vaccination status.
