San Ramon Hit With Christmas Eve Earthquake, The Latest Of More Than 300 Since November
Another quake struck Wednesday morning.
SAN RAMON, CA — A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck San Ramon Wednesday at 11:36 a.m., the second in less than 24 and the tenth in under a week. A 2.7-magnitude earthquake struck Tuesday night.
The latest quake was felt lightly around the Tri-Valley, according to USGS's "Did You Feel It?" map. No other quakes were reported.
San Ramon has seen more than 300 earthquakes since November, according to USGS, so much so that it's starting to make international news.

Earlier this week, the city issued a news release updating its earthquake readiness resources and policies, which include an Emergency Operations Center, coordination with several local agencies, updates through several channels, and and free emergency preparedness trainings provided in partnership with the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District.
