Forest Home Farms Celebrates 'Spring Babies' on Saturday

The theme is “Spring Babies”  for this month's Second Saturday at

Visit the farm to see the adorable new lambs! You can also see the herding dogs at work and learn to “card” (comb) wool the way it was done before machines took over the job.

The park is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Along with seeing the lambs and wathcing the herding dogs at work, you can also volunteer for our Parks Make Life Better/Earth Day Clean-up.

Donate your time to help spruce up the farm for spring. Tasks may include weeding, planting, applying mulch, sweeping, raking, and general cleanup. Volunteers of all ages are welcome; however, children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult, and all volunteers under 18 must have waiver signed by a parent/guardian. Tours of the restored Victorian Glass House Museum will be held at 10 a.m, 11a.m, 12 p.m and 1 p.m and tours of Forest Home Farms Historic Park, including the tractor museum, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Each tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and the fee is $5 per person or $8 for both tours taken on the same day. Tour tickets can be purchased in the Gift Shoppe. Children ages 2-and-under are free.
