Lee, 72, was walking in a crosswalk on Bollinger Canyon Road at about 7 p.m. Sunday, when Stubblefield -- making a left turn from Canyon Lakes Drive -- allegedly hit her with his red Ford Explorer. Both Stubblefield and Lee had a green light, Baker said. Alcohol and drugs have been ruled out as a contributing factor.
Stubblefield kept driving after the collision and was arrested by San Ramon police about a half-hour later, Baker said. He was wanted on an arrest warrant for violating his probation following a burglary conviction, Baker said.
