Man Convicted Of San Ramon Rape

Qais Faizi was convicted of raping a drugged woman at a San Ramon party in 2021.

SAN RAMON, CA — A Mountain House man was convicted of a 2021 rape in San Ramon, according to reports in Danville-San Ramon and The East Bay Times.

Qais Faizi, 35, was convicted of three felony charges for raping a drugged or intoxicated woman at a party in San Ramon in 2021. In January, Faizi was sentenced to nine years in prison following a November conviction of raping a woman in San Jose. The San Ramon conviction could add up to 18 years to his sentence.

The San Ramon victim came to police, and authorities matched her rape test kit to DNA collected during the investigation of the case in San Jose, authorities told The Bay Area News Group.

Faizi is currently in custody at the Martinez Detention Facility. He is scheduled to be sentenced in August.
