Man Seen Taking Photos Outside San Ramon School: SRPD, SRVUSD

A man was seen taking photos of passing vehicles outside Hidden Hills Elementary School Monday morning.

SAN RAMON, CA — San Ramon police are increasing patrols around Hidden Hills Elementary School this week after a man was seen photographing vehicles in the vicinity, according to the San Ramon Police Department and Hidden Hills Elementary School Principal Melodie Huynh.

The school received reports that a man was taking photos from the sidewalk of Albion Road Monday morning, according to an email Huynh sent to families. The school reported this behavior to the police, who contacted the suspect and conducted an investigation, according to SRPD spokesperson Lt. Tami Williams. Investigators determined that a crime was not committed.

"Our units will continue to patrol the area when available. We take the safety of our community, specifically our children, very seriously," Williams said.

Huynh advised parents and caregivers to discuss safe practices with students, like not talking to strangers, running directly to school or home if contacted by a stranger, and immediately notifying a trusted adult.
