SAN RAMON, CA — The CVS at 490 Market Place will close April 17, a company representative confirmed to Patch. All prescriptions will be transferred to the CVS pharmacy at 2455 San Ramon Valley Boulevard, though patients can fill their prescriptions at any pharmacy, online, or through the CVS pharmacy app, spokesperson Amy Thibault told Patch.

Employees are being offered “comparable roles within the company,” Thibault said. CVS will still have three locations in the city following the closure, in addition to a pharmacy located inside Target:

  • 2455 San Ramon Valley Boulevard
  • 2610 Bishop Drive
  • 9120 Alcosta Boulevard

Marketplace is the site of a proposed development that would demolish approximately 55,636 square feet of existing commercial tenant space to build 40 single-family detached condo units and commercial space. The proposal was reluctantly approved by a divided Planning Commission, and has sparked intense debate among San Ramon residents.
