“We started our restaurant business in early 2019 in Sunnyvale, and it was a grand hit right from the opening. People used to drive more than a couple of hours just to eat at Gurkha Kitchen,” owner Narayan Khanal told Patch. “As we were looking to expand the business, San Ramon was on our priority list because it's filled with the Indian & Nepali community. Also, San Ramon city lacked an authentic Indo-Nepali restaurant, which could attract people to San Ramon and recreate the vibrant atmosphere in the city.”

Gurkha Kitchen is open 11 am to 9 pm Sunday through Thursday, and 11 am to 10 pm Fridays and Saturdays. For more information, visit thegurkaskitchen.com, call 925-791-5600, or email gurkhakitchensr@gmail.com.
