SAN RAMON, CA - European Autotech, an automotive repair and modification shop in San Ramon, is unveiling a new mural on the side of its wall.

The store, located in the heart of an industrial complex, contacted California Mural Art in Danville to help add some color to the neighborhood and celebrate the business’s history.

"As a business with no street presence or foot traffic, we depend solely on word-of-mouth referrals and advertising," European Autotech General Manager Eric Laviolette said in a statement. "The inspiration for this mural came to us as we observed the captivating street art on other businesses throughout the Bay Area. It was then we realized that our expansive wall in our parking lot offered the perfect canvas for an exceptional mural."

The mural, painted by mural artist John Osgood, pays homage to the store’s roots as a Porsche repair shop, and to broader racing culture. It features an oversized horse and wing of the Porsche logo, and racing references like Gulf Oil and the Nurburgring race track.

"We anticipate the mural will be well received in the community, attracting art enthusiasts, and car aficionados alike," Laviolette said. "It symbolizes the diversity and rich culture of San Ramon and serves as a testament to our humble beginnings, paying homage to the people who have contributed to our success."
