Photo Competition for Tri-Valley Conservancy

Photo submissions capturing the Tri-Valley will be accepted through the month of August.

The Tri-Valley Conservancy will be accepting submissions for their annual photo competition beginning Thursday, August 1.

The "Freeze Frame! 2013" nature photo competition lasts during the month of August. The judges are interested in seeing photos that capture scenic rural areas, agriculture and recreational parks and areas in the Tri-Valley.

Applicants have until 5 p.m. August 30 to submit their photos along with a $25 registration fee.

Finalists will be notified in September, and Facebook voting for the People's Choice Award will last throughout the month. Final winners announced in October, and first place prize takes home $200.

The top 12 photos will be published in a Tri-Valley Conservancy calendar, made to raise money in support of the conservancy's mission.
