Upcoming Full Closure of Bollinger Canyon Road between Camino Ramon and Market Place: September 7–15
Bollinger Canyon Road will be completely closed between Camino Ramon and Market Place from Saturday, September 7 through Sunday, September 15.
Detours will be in place to direct traffic around the construction zone.

City Hall and the Marketplace Shopping Center will be open with access from westbound Bollinger Canyon Road.
This roadway closure is required to conduct a critical phase of construction on the Iron Horse Trail Bicycle and Pedestrian Overcrossing, where the Overcrossing structure within the roadway limits will be built. Once this work is complete, the silhouette of the Overcrossing will be visible.

The Fall 2024 Recreation Guide is now available, and registration is open to residents!

Registration is currently open for San Ramon Teen Centers at Iron Horse & Pine Valley Middle Schools. Our Teen Centers are havens for teens to tackle homework, chill with friends, and enjoy safe after-school adventures!

Secret History Tour of San Ramon Valley with Bill Clarkson
Saturday, September 7 from 8:30 a.m.–1 p.m.
Departs from / Returns to San Ramon City Hall
Visit the secret and unknown historical sites of San Ramon!
San Ramon past mayor and local history buff Bill Clarkson will lead the 4th Annual San Ramon History Bus Tour on Saturday, September 7.
The 4.5-hour tour will visit numerous historic sites. By the end of the tour, you will have learned more than you can imagine about the history of San Ramon, whose written history began in 1772.
The tour goes rain or shine from San Ramon City Hall (7000 Bollinger Canyon Road, San Ramon CA, 94583) at 8:30 a.m.
Kokedama Workshop by Plantify
Saturday, September 7
10 a.m.–1 p.m.
Dougherty Station Community Arts Center
This relaxing workshop introduces participants to the world of biophillic design and Kokedama, a method of bonsai plant cultivation that uses moss to grow plants without a pot!
Kokedama is aesthetically pleasing, easy to water and keep tidy, and an excellent method of keeping plants like succulents.
Each participant will take home their kokedama creation as well as biophillic design ideas to further explore at home. All supplies are included, and each registration supports Plantify, a non-profit that connects people to nature.
Lady K and The Kings of Swing – Fall Dance
Saturday, September 7 at 7:30 p.m.
San Ramon Community Center Fountain Room
Like to dance? Love Big Band Swing and Latin music with horns? Come dance with Lady K and the Kings of Swing on Saturday, September 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the San Ramon Community Center (12501 Alcosta Blvd, San Ramon CA 94583)!
Featuring Grammy nominee vocalist Carla Helmbrecht, the band will play a variety of Swing and Latin music as ballroom classics with something for everyone.
Beverages for sale by the San Ramon Arts Foundation.

Construction Update: Crow Canyon Widening
Construction Continues Between Alcosta Blvd & St. George Road
Work continues on the Crow Canyon Widening Project between Alcosta Boulevard and Crow Canyon Private (Cobblestone).
Work Recently Completed Through 8/22/24:
- Removed long-term eastbound traffic control
- Completed eastbound planting and mulch
- Completed westbound storm drain underground work
- Completed header boards for the northside path
Work Planned Through 8/30/24:
- Continue subgrade work for the northside path
- Continue decomposed granite installation
- Continue westbound utility relocation and adjustment work

Construction Update: Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing
Upcoming Changes to Bollinger Canyon Road Traffic
Work continues on the Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing at Bollinger Canyon Road. Please see below for anticipated upcoming work.
Work Recently Completed Through 8/22/24:
- Poured foundation for overcrossing stairs
- Adjusted traffic signal indicators
- Held MSE wall coating demonstration
- Poured Bearing Pedestal at Abutment 1 & 2
- Completed pedestrian sidewalk pour at the south end of the project
Work Anticipated Through 8/30/24:
- Continue demolition, excavation, and grading on the Iron Horse Trail
- Continue embankment grading
- Continue electrical work for pathway lighting and begin drill, pour, and form pathway light foundations
- Pour retaining wall for stairs
- Continue preparation for the full road closure of Bollinger Canyon Road from Camino Ramon to Market Place scheduled for September 7–15.
