San Ramon Celebrates New Sunrise Ridge Park
Sunrise Ridge Park includes a playground, numerous sports fields, picnic areas, a rose garden, and walking trails.
SAN RAMON, CA — San Ramon hosted a grand opening for Sunrise Ridge Park, a new 12-acre park at 7500 Faria Preserve Parkway on Nov. 13. The new park includes a number of amenities, among them:
- Playgrounds for toddlers and young children
- A lighted synthetic turf baseball and softball field
- A lighted synthetic turf lacrosse and soccer field
- Sports courts for tennis, bocce, and basketball
- Shaded picnic areas
- Restroom facilities
- A rose garden
- A walking trail
The ceremony included speeches from local officials, a poem from the San Ramon Poet Laureate, interactive sports activities, light refreshments, and opportunities to explore the amenities and scenic views.
“The City is delighted to add Sunrise Ridge to our park inventory as it has something for everyone to enjoy,” San Ramon Parks and Community Services Director Kathi Heimann told Patch in an email. “There is a lot to explore and do at Sunrise Ridge, with the spectacular views, walking paths, bocce, tennis and basketball courts, playgrounds and sports fields. The happy faces of the children and families playing on the new play equipment and enjoying their new park really made a great Grand Opening even better.”
