SAN RAMON, CA — Rodan + Fields, a multilevel marketing company specializing in skin and hair products, plans to lay off 76 workers from its San Ramon office in Bishop Ranch, the company confirmed.

“Rodan & Fields, LLC has made some organizational changes to optimize the company’s structure and teams for long-term success. These changes included the difficult but necessary decision to reduce our Home Office workforce affecting 76 employees,” the company told Patch in an email.

The workers will be laid off on or about Oct. 14, according to a WARN Notice that the company sent to the California Employment Development Department that was shared with Patch. Affected employees span all departments, including a number of management and lead engineering positions, according to the letter.

This is the latest of scores of layoffs around the Bay Area. In Emeryville, biotech company Amyris also announced dozens of layoffs, according to a WARN notice reviewed by The East Bay Times. As of August, Bay Area tech companies have revealed intentions to cut nearly 16,600 jobs, well ahead of the 10,500 cuts in 2022, according to Industry Insider. Giant firms like Salesforce, Cisco, Google, Lyft, Uber and many more have all announced large cuts.
