San Ramon Hiring, Training Lifeguards

Registration is open to take the October certification course.

SAN RAMON, CA — San Ramon is hiring lifeguards, and paying for part of the training course upon successful completion.

The city is hiring for junior lifeguards, who can earn anywhere from $16.50 to $19.80 an hour, and senior lifeguards, who earn from $18.15 to $21.78 an hour. In order to be considered, applicants must be at least 15 years old, and undergo the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course, which features practical and written tests on lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED, and more.

The October 2024 course takes place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 5, 6, 9, 12, and 13 at the San Ramon Olympic Pool. It costs $229 for residents, and $286.25 for nonresidents, though the city will reimburse $100 to anyone who completes the course successfully.

Another course will also take place in January 2025, and registration will open Nov. 18 for residents, and Dec. 2 for non-residents. Courses will also be offered in February, March, and April.
