SAN RAMON, CA — The San Ramon Library will no longer be open Mondays due to budget cuts, the city announced. The San Ramon Library and Dougherty Station Library are now open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The closure is part of $8.1 million in budget cuts made in the approved 2024-25 budget, which sought to address a $17.6 million revenue shortfall. In addition to library closures, the budget also reduced city staff, reduced community events, reduced counter hours at community centers, eliminated passport services at City Hall, reduced landscape maintenance in city and school parks, and more.
