Sheep Shearing Day Coming To San Ramon Saturday
Forest Home Farms will host its annual extravaganza of sheep shearing, tractor rides, wool spinning, and more.
SAN RAMON, CA — They say March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb, so what better way to celebrate April than by visiting sheep?
The San Ramon Historic Foundation is again hosting a Sheep Shearing Day at Forest Home Farms Historic Park on Saturday, April 26, one of its largest annual fundraisers.
The community is invited to visit the farm from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to view a live sheep shearing, which is available until all the sheep have been shorn. A ticket also buys tours of the on-site David Glass House, a two-story Victorian-style home from the 1860s or 1870s; the Tractor Museum, one of the largest antique tractor collections in California; and wool spinning, blacksmithing, and sheep dog demonstrations.
