Street Smarts Bike Festival Giving Away Free Bike
The annual bike safety festival in San Ramon will also feature an obstacle course, bike safety trainings, crafts, face painting, and more.
SAN RAMON, CA — Iron Horse Middle School will host the Street Smarts Bike Festival, formerly the Bike Rodeo. The free, family-friendly event on Oct. 25 will feature safety education, games, entertainment, and the chance to win prizes, including a new bike.
Families can drop by any time between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to enjoy:
- Age-specific bicycle and scooter course
- Helmet fittings and bike safety checks
- Hands-on CPR training for all ages
- Safety-themed games
- Face painting and crafts
- Live music
- A bike obstacle course
- The chance to meet personnel from CHP, SRVFPD, SRVUSD, Contra Costa County,, the city of San Ramon, the town of Danville, and the Contra Costa Transportation Authority
Children are encouraged to bring their own bike and helmet. No e-bikes, scooters, or skateboards are allowed on the obstacle course.

Children ages 3-12 who pre-register will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a new bike valued up to $300, and other giveaways.
