Sunrise Ridge Playground Closed Until Further Notice

SAN RAMON, CA — The playground at Sunrise Ridge Park has been closed until further notice due to safety concerns, according to the city.

On a recent playground visit, field staff noticed two details on the five-year-old play structures that may present potential hazards, city spokesperson Simone Finney told Patch. The improvements are expected to be complete by Friday, Feb. 7, Finney said.

Sunrise Ridge is a new 12-acre park that opened in November 2024. The park includes a number of other amenities, including several lighted synthetic turf sports fields, tennis and basketball courts, shaded picnic areas, and a rose garden.
