VR Car Racing, New Restaurant Open At City Center
Dumpling Time is closed at City Center, but two new businesses are opening up soon.

SAN RAMON, CA — If you’d like to work up an appetite after racing cars, head to City Center. The shopping center confirmed in a news release that Meyhouse, a celebrated Turkish restaurant and jazz bar, and Shift Arcade, a racing simulator experience, are opening up soon.
Meyhouse, a Turkish restaurant with existing locations in Palo Alto and Sunnyvale, is opening a 3,500-square-foot space previously occupied by Dumpling Time, according to City Center. Dumpling Time opened in December 2022 and closed in March for unspecified reasons, according to a Pleasanton Weekly report.
Guests at Meyhouse will enjoy a rich menu of authentic Turkish cuisine prepared with local ingredients, including small plates, fresh seafood, and grilled delicacies, set to soulful music.

“The Meyhouse team is thrilled to be expanding into San Ramon’s City Center Bishop Ranch later this year. Our mission has always been to bring the vibrant flavors and rich culinary traditions of Turkey to the Bay Area, and this new location is an exciting step forward,” Mehhouse owner Koray Altinsoy said in a statement. “We’re currently finalizing the details—including the grand opening date, menu and design—and we can’t wait to share more with you soon.”
If you’re interested in a bit more adrenaline, head over to the Shift Arcade, an immersive virtual reality car racing experience. Our mission is to make sim racing as well-known and beloved as going to the movies or bowling - a go-to activity for friends and families alike. City Center was a natural fit for us, as it already has a vibrant community hub where people come together for fun and entertainment.”
