Woman Pulled Out Of Car By Carjacker In San Ramon: Report
A Castro Valley man was arrested on charges of pulling a woman out of her car while she was vacuuming at a car wash, and driving away.
SAN RAMON, CA — A Castro Valley man was arrested on charges of committing a carjacking at Ducky’s Express Car Wash in San Ramon, according to the San Ramon Police Department and a report in Danville-San Ramon.
At 9:30 p.m. Saturday, 28-year-old Richard Ashley Weatherford Jr. allegedly approached a victim vacuuming her vehicle at the car wash, pulled her out of the car, and drove away, San Ramon police told Danville-San Ramon. About two hours later, Alameda County Sheriff’s deputies spotted the vehicle and initiated a chase.
Weatherford was taken into custody without incident in an unincorporated area near Crow Canyon Road, according to the report.

Weatherford was booked in the Martinez Detention Facility on charges of carjacking and robbery, according to the San Ramon Police Department.
