2 Arrested In Santa Cruz On Suspicion Of Possessing, Transporting Narcotics
Both suspects had outstanding warrants, police said.
SANTA CRUZ, CA — Police arrested two people Sunday in Santa Cruz on suspicion of drug-related offenses after they were spotted driving a vehicle without license plates, police said. At 11:11 a.m., officers patrolling the area of Canfield Avenue and San Lorenzo Boulevard found a suspicious tan-colored Toyota Camry without license plates and followed it to the 600 block of Riverside Avenue.
The officers stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as 27-year-old Janina Miller-Morales of Davenport, and the passenger as 28-year-old Zenaido Gomez of Santa Cruz. Both suspects had outstanding warrants, police said.
As Miller-Morales exited the vehicle, she allegedly dropped a methamphetamine pipe on the driver side floorboard. While searching the vehicle, officers also found 24 grams of methamphetamine and assorted drug
paraphernalia, according to police.

Miller-Morales and Gomez were arrested on suspicion of transporting, selling and possessing narcotics, police said.
