Santa Cruz City Firefighters’ Local 1716 members are hosting a landmark fundraising event called “Fill the Boot” on August 16th to support local families living with muscle disease.
Santa Cruz City firefighters will be in the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Beach Street from 3 p.m. -7 p.m. Each day you will find your Santa Cruz City firefighters collecting money from drivers and pedestrians to benefit over 5,000 local families served by MDA.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a voluntary health agency working to defeat muscle diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive services, and far-reaching professional and public health education. MDA is the largest nongovernmental sponsor of neuromuscular disease research.
