5K Lost Power In Santa Cruz County

Power was restored to most of those affected by Thursday afternoon, according to PG&E.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Power has been restored to most of the thousands of Santa Cruz Mountains residents who were in the dark Thursday morning due to power outages.

Several outages impacted some 5,000 Pacific Gas & Electric Co. customers in communities including Ben Lomond, Bethany Park, Boulder Creek, Fontenay Villa, Glenwood and Scotts Valley. About 800 people north of Scotts Valley remained without power as of 3 p.m.

PG&E said some outages began around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, while other pockets occurred early Thursday morning.
