94 People Died On The Streets Of Santa Cruz County This Year
This is the highest number in 23 years. Their lives will soon be honored at a memorial service.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Santa Cruz County saw more unhoused persons die on its streets this year than it has in the past 23 years.
This year's death toll was 94 people as of Tuesday, according to a statement from the Homeless Action Partnership. That's 17 more deaths than the county saw last year.
Their lives will be honored at the county's 23rd annual Homeless Memorial Service from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 21, which is National Homeless Persons Memorial Day.
