Armed, Masked Man Robbed U.S. Bank Branch In Santa Cruz Friday: Police

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Police in Santa Cruz are searching for a man who robbed a U.S. Bank branch on Friday afternoon. The robbery was reported around 1 p.m. at the branch at 110 Morrissey Blvd., near the intersection with Soquel Avenue and Water Street.
The masked man, described as being in his late 20s with no visible tattoos or scars, ran into the bank, jumped over the counter and pointed a gun at employees, ordering them to open the cash drawers, police said.
The man put the cash he stole into a black cloth bag, jumped back over the counter and fled. No one was injured in the robbery, police said.
The man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, a brown beanie with a black stripe, black sunglasses, blue or black pants, gloves and dirty white shoes.
