Barktoberfest: Live Music, Food, Beer; Support Santa Cruz SPCA

Participate in a dog costume contest or join a raffle at the third annual fundraiser to support furry friends of Santa Cruz County.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Support Santa Cruz County pets and animals in need through the third annual Barktober fest, benefitting the Santa Cruz SPCA.

The event will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 16 at Bruno's Bar and Grill and is sponsored by Lagunitas Brewing Company, according to the SPCA. There will — of course — be beer and food, but guests can also count on live music from Santa Cruda and a raffle.

Don't forget to bring Fido! Organizers will hold a dog costume contest and pet "pawtraits" thanks to Photogra-V.
