Bernie Sanders Rallies In Santa Cruz, Monterey On Tuesday

SANTA CRUZ - Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is scheduled to appear at two Monterey Bay rallies on Tuesday, less than a week ahead of the critical California Primary election June 7.

According to the Sanders website, Sanders will lead a Santa Cruz rally Tuesday morning at the Kaiser Permanente Arena on Front St.

Doors will open at 10 a.m. according to campaign officials.

Later that afternoon, Sanders will head south on Highway 1 and address a crowd in Monterey. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. for the event on the Colton Hall Lawn.

The events are free and open to the public, but RSVPs are strongly encouraged, say Sanders organizers.

For security reasons, you are asked not to bring bags, and limit what you bring to small, personal items like keys and cell phones.

Officials say weapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners will not be allowed through security.

Admission is first come, first served.

-Lot 27: The Front/Laurel East Parking Lot (310 Front Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95060) For public transit, use the Front and Spruce stop on the Santa Cruz metro routes 3 and 69; or the Santa Cruz metro hub.
