Boston Marathon Rocked by Explosions: 13 From Santa Cruz Are There

The oldest marathon in the country was rocked by explosions and injuries. There are 13 runners from Santa Cruz, including former City Councilwoman Katherine Beiers.

NBC News reports that two explosions went off near the finish line of the Boston Marathon Monday, leaving widespread injuries and streams of blood.

Thirteen Santa Cruzans were registered for the race including former City Councilwoman Katherine Beiers and Public Defender Stephen La Berge.
