<h4>A Winter Practice</h4>
As we approach the winter solstice, the peak period of long, dark nights outside, you're invited to turn inward. This class is an opportunity to journey into your own inner dark stillness to discover the eternal light that always exists, even within the darkness. Through guided meditation and breathwork, we will gently explore what the internal darkness holds, not as something to be feared, but as a rich ground to grow a sense of safety, trust and clarity during this darkest time of year. 
Description of breathwork: Breathing into Wholeness is a powerful way to move energy, gain greater clarity, and unravel stuck places. Generally, this practice is done lying on the back, breathing dynamically through an open mouth, in and out without pauses or breath holds. The breath journey is lightly guided and accompanied by carefully selected evocative music.
This gentle yet deep way of breathing into and embracing whatever wants to move through us helps us to more easily unlock and release old, trapped energies, patterns, conditioning, negative thoughts and emotions that keep us from our own sense of wholeness and fulfillment.
Every breath we take is sacred...an opportunity to connect with our deeper wisdom!
Devi Peri
Devi completed her Clarity Breathwork facilitator training over 10 years ago. For the first couple years after her training, Devi worked primarily coaching individuals, bringing her background in mindfulness and embodied movement, along with nature connection into her one-on-one breathwork sessions (Earth&amp;Body Breathwork program). Once she moved to Santa Cruz in 2017, she expanded her practice to also offer group classes and workshops, now known as Breathing into Wholeness.

Connecting breath, sacred imagery and sound, Jeilene will take you on a deep journey into the stillpoint of your heart chakra, connecting you with the divine plane within. As this energy expands throughout the body, it will be anchored into two additional energy centers, the lower dantian and the Cave of Brahma. The evening will continue into a lightly guided dance journey called Dancing Freedom, which follows a 5-stage arc through the 5 ayurvedic elements. Dancing Freedom is a somatic and shamanic practice of liberation rooted in ceremony. As we dance with the elements we re-awaken and remember our connection to these elements, within and without, and to all that is. This practice welcomes all ages, sizes, colors, and creeds. You cannot do it wrong! When we come together to move as our ancestors did, we create a deep space of shared practice, transformation, and community. Dancing Freedom reminds us of who we really are. Chelsea is a community co-creator, student, teacher, and spiritual seeker. She finds her own divine remembrance and connection through ceremony, nature, silence, and movement. She has found that within music and dance she is able to stabilize her own consistent dialogue and trust in life. Chelsea seeks containers of safety and skilled holding to explore the depths of her own body as a vessel for liberation and connection - and she aims to create these spaces for others. In addition to being an Ecstatic Dance DJ, Chelsea is a Dancing Freedom Facilitator, yoga teacher, and energy and body worker. Her DJ name 'Presencia' comes from a strong internal value to show up presently to each part of the process of creation.

As the earth turns toward darkness and the night stretches long, there lies a sacred pause… a threshold of endings and beginnings.
For this Winter Solstice, join me and Laya Gongs for a heartfelt evening of ceremony, sound, and medicine: ritual altar-building, a microdose-guided journey, and a Breathwork journey held with intention, reverence, and gentle integration.
We’ll gather around the inner fire of collective intention, carving sigils into candles to light what we wish to call in, releasing what no longer serves, and honoring our body, mind, and spirit. The ceremony is bathed in sound with gongs and handpans by Adron of Laya Gongs, joining the didgeridoo, drum, flute, and more to deepen our journey into presence, healing, and rebirth.
This space is for those who long for clarity, grounding, and a deep reconnection with their inner light. Whether you’re seasoned in medicine work or deeply curious, you’re welcome here.
