Fatal Crash Shuts Down Santa Cruz County Road
The California Highway Patrol anticipates a road closure for about 8 to 10 hours after a fatal wreck along a Santa Cruz Mountains road.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — The California Highway Patrol shut down a portion of East Zayante Road in the Mt. Hermon after a fatal crash.
CHP anticipates the road will reopen around 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. It is closed from Graham Hill Road to Highland Avenue.
CHP did not provide any additional information at this time, but dispatch records indicate officers were called to the scene shortly after 1:20 p.m. The Pacific Gas & Electric Co. was also called to the scene.
