Fire Completely Guts Mobile Home In Capitola
An early morning fire at a Capitola Mobile Home Park completely destroyed one of the units on Friday, according to the Central Fire PIO.
CAPITOLA - An early morning fire at a Capitola Mobile Home Park completely destroyed one of the units on Friday, according to a Central Fire Protection District spokesman.
Emergency crews responded to the Brookvale Terrace Mobile Home Park located at 300 Plum St in Capitola after early morning calls from residents, and found one of the homes fully involved in fire, according to Central Fire Protection District spokesman Mike DeMars'
The fast-burning fire at space #69 was extinguished within about 30 minutes, but the residence has been considered a total loss. Demars says all four exterior walls and the roof were compromised by the fire.

An adjacent home sustained minor damage, according to DeMars.
According to the property owners, tenants previously living in the home had moved out just a few days earlier.

Demars says crews from the Aptos La Selva Fire District and Santa Cruz fire also responded to the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
