Firefighters Battled Blaze In Santa Cruz Mountains
No homes were threatened, according to firefighters. The fire was reported in the Boulder Creek area.

BOULDER CREEK, CA — Firefighters battled a vegetation fire Wednesday afternoon in Boulder Creek.
Dubbed the Fossil Fire, the blaze burned in three to five acres, according to Cal Fire's San Mateo-Santa Cruz Unit. No buildings were threatened.

Firefighters held the fire at the ridgetop and brought it under control within an hour.
