What: As bands featuring former rock critics go, Yo La Tengo is at the top of the heap. Leader Ira Kaplan, his wife Georgia Hubley and bassist James McNew have been darlings of the truly alternative movement for two decades. You never know what to expect at a show, and neither do they. But you can be sure it will never be complacent and it will always be rock at the edges.

Price: Tickets are $21. Call Streetlights at 421-9200 or ticketweb.com
