Hazardous Waste Drop Off-Site In Santa Cruz To Close Until July

The city's main drop-off site for household hazardous products will be closed for improvements starting April 24 until July 22.

SANTA CRUZ, CA— The City of Santa Cruz Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Drop-Off Site, located at the Resource Recovery Facility, 605 Dimeo Lane, will be temporarily closed for facility improvements from April 24 to July 22.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience this closure may cause and recommends the following alternative HHW Drop-Off locations and times:

"Household Hazardous Waste” includes common household products that contain chemicals that can be harmful to humans, animals and the environment. Examples include paint, solvents, pesticides, household batteries, cleaning products and auto care products. It is dangerous and illegal to dispose of household hazardous waste in the garbage, down the drain or on the ground.
