Hundreds Lose Power In Santa Cruz

SANTA CRUZ, CA — More than 700 people in downtown Santa Cruz lost power Wednesday afternoon, according to PG&E.

The utility reported that power was out in an area stretching from customers north of the boardwalk in the Beach Flats neighborhood to Cooper Street. Some people east of the San Lorenzo River were also apparently impacted.

PG&E said at 12:10 p.m. that the cause was unknown and the estimated restoration time was around 3:45 p.m.
