Jerry Brown to Appear at UCSC Friday

A governor coming to one of the most politicized campuses in the country, a year after another UC rally ended in tear gas?

Jerry Brown will appear at UCSC Friday.

Here's his "personal" letter:

Tomorrow, I will join college students at UC Santa Cruz to rally support for Proposition 30.  Will you join us?

There are just 12 days left until the election, and I’m counting on you to help me in these final days!

Prop. 30 is only measure on the November 6 ballot that will stop $6 billion in cuts to our schools and colleges, prevent a steep tuition hike for UC and CSU students this year, and invest in preparing the next generation for jobs of the future.

College students are organizing events across the state to engage young people in supporting Prop. 30 to stop the cuts and stop the tuition hikes so we can build a strong economy for the future.
