Man, 61, Arrested On Suspicion Of Possessing Drugs In Santa Cruz
Police said Leo Beus of Felton was on probation from a prior case in Santa Cruz County.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Santa Cruz police arrested a man Friday evening after concerned residents reported drug activity in their neighborhood. According to police, around 7 p.m. officers responded to complaints of drug activity on the east side of the city.
Officers located a suspicious vehicle parked in the 800 block of Water Street and contacted the driver, identified as 61-year-old Leo Beus of Felton, police said. Police determined that Beus was on probation from a prior case in Santa Cruz County. They searched his vehicle and allegedly found an ounce of methamphetamine, a police scanner, about $1,000 in cash, digital scales and two replica firearms, police said.
Beus was arrested and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sale, violating probation and other misdemeanor offenses, police said.
