Man Found Dead In Car Down Santa Cruz Co. Embankment Identified
BREAKING: Police said the man was reported missing about several hours before he was found.
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A San Lorenzo Valley man found dead in his vehicle down an embankment in the Santa Cruz Mountains on Saturday afternoon has been identified by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office as 33-year-old Ryan Pebbles. Pebbles was reported missing hours before he was found off the roadway in the 16400 block of Bear Creek Road, near Harmon Gulch east of Boulder Creek.
The vehicle had rolled about 60 to 70 feet down the embankment when it crashed around 4:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. Pebbles died at the scene.
