Police looking for two suspects who assaulted a 22-year-old with a pipe.

Santa Cruz Police are looking for two dreadlocked African American men in a silver Honda, who severely beat a 22-year-old man at 3:15 a.m. Friday on the 800 block of Pacific Avenue.

The victim said that he had been hit in the face with some sort of metal pipe by two males, 25-30 years old, both with dreadlocked hair wearing dark hoodies. The suspects were last seen getting into a silver Honda and driving north on Pacific Avenue.

The assault took place approximately 20-30 minutes before the 911 call, police reported. The victim, due to his mouth injury, couldn’t provide much more detail about the incident. He was flown to an out-of-county trauma center for his facial injury.
