Man Swept To Sea Off Santa Cruz County Coastline: See
Search efforts remain ongoing, the Santa Cruz Fire Department said. See photos of rescue efforts.
DAVENPORT, CA — A San Jose man, 26, went missing Sunday evening after he was swept to sea, officials said.
The man was near Davenport Beach around 5:30 p.m. when beachgoers saw him disappear and called 911.
The search remained ongoing Monday, according to the Santa Cruz Fire Department and Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office. The fire department and 19 rescue swimmers joined in the search.
