Man Wanted for Stealing His Own Car
CHP impounded his car after an alcohol arrest; he reportedly stole it from the tow yard.
The California Highway Patrol is looking for a man who allegedly broke into Rossi's tow yard on Capitola Extension to take the car that was impounded after he was arrested for being drunk in public.
Rudy Davis, 41, who also uses the last name Sullivan, was arrested Tuesday after he was found asleep in his white pickup on Bernal Street in Aptos. Officers had been looking for a white pickup responsible for a hit-and-run in Aptos Monday on Victoria Lane.
Davis's car was impounded for having registration fees more than six months overdue. He was cited for being drunk in public.

Wednesday, police said, Davis entered Rossi's tow yard and took the truck. He is wanted for trespass, theft and driving with a suspended license.
