Mission Hill Middle School Students Seek Money for Public Art

About 175 art students want to fill the Soquel Street Bridge with 89 mosaics. Donate $100 and have your name or your company's name in one of them.

Last year Kathleen Crocetti's art classes from Mission Hill Middle School decorated the Water Street Bridge with a colorful display of public art.

This spring they are targetting the parallel Soquel Street Bridge, which has space for 89 mosaics.

They are raising funds on the kickstarter website, where donations of $2 or more get: 1. Brainstorming Session at the Museum of Art and History to determine the theme for the bridge mosaics. 2. Meet the young artists and assist them in placing the glass on their designs. 3. Thin Set glass to the bridge party. 4. Assist the young artists with grouting on the bridge. 5. Dedication reception.
